Episode Description

A 2013 Forbes article, “Why You Can’t Ignore Millennials,” states that this generation, born between 1982 and 1993, will comprise 75 percent of the global workforce by 2025. After struggling to work with Millennials, and then figuring out how to work well with them, CEO and communications strategist Lee Caraher was determined to create a culture in which Boomers, GenXers, and Millennials can thrive together. Lee will share findings from her book, “Millennials and Management: The Essential Guide to Making it Work at Work.” She’ll discuss negative myths about Millennials, research that dispels these myths, and pointers for building high producing intergenerational work teams. She’ll also address the reality of “helicopter parenting,” and it’s impact on Millennials in the workplace. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, executive, manager, or parent, you’ll gain valuable insight into how you can best support and engage the best that Millennials and other generations offer!
