Kevin Wheeler on Envisioning the Workforce in 2025
December 14, 2016
Hosted by Alise Cortez, PhD
With the ever-changing landscape of the global marketplace and how business gets done, we are hard-pressed to look into a crystal ball and try to predict the future. Yet doing so is a useful exercise if only to cast our thinking and planning into a future state and transcend today’s day to day functions and comparative limited state. A well-crafted approach to consider our future would be to include the vantage point of experts who have spent considerable time and focus on studying and contributing to their industry. Since so much of what makes the world and business go ‘round revolves around the key resource of people, and as we near the end of 2016 and cast our gaze on the New Year, this episode features a Human Resource and Recruiting expert and futurist who will share his vision for the workplace as far as 2025, along with some of the key recruiting and human resource and changes in how the field uses technology.
Working on Purpose
Wednesday at 3 PM Pacific Time on VoiceAmerica Empowerment Channel
WORK. For some, its utter lack of perceived significance hurls them into existential crisis, while for others being on the job allows the highest level of fulfillment and even provides a life purpose. We spend a full third of our lives either preparing for work via school or actually being in the workforce. Why not look for ways to maximize the meaning, positive sentiment, and performance contribution associated with it? This show explores the journey and experiences of how various people navigate their careers toward meaningful work-life integration. Anyone looking for guidance, inspiration, and examples on how to get unstuck at work or move to a higher level of meaning or contribution will enjoy tuning in. We’ll hear from everyday people telling their work-life stories and from other authors who have contributed their understanding to the topic of work, careers, and work-life integration. Working on Purpose airs live Wednesdays at 3 PM Pacific Time on VoiceAmerica Empowerment.
