Dr. Denise Wood

Dr. Denise Wood

Dr. Denise Wood is an author, relationship coach and a television and radio personality. Dr. Wood has her Masters of Arts Degree in Counseling and Psychology from St. Mary’s University and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Illinois School of Professional Psychology, which is an American Psychological Accredited School.

Dr. Wood worked for the Minnesota Department of Corrections as a Psychologist for several years. Wood served as a Psychological Profiler on the Hostage Negotiations Team for the Minnesota correctional facilities in Moose Lake and Rush City.

Dr. Denise Wood was the founder and sole proprietor of Wood Counseling Services, LLC in 2006. Wood now is Sole proprietor of Dr. Denise Wood International, LLC. She is the author of “Inside the Cheater’s Mind” (October 2010) and “Psyched to be Skinny”(January 2014).

Dr. Wood is also a lifetime athlete. She taught aerobics for over 20 years and is a skier, biker, runner, rock climber and race car driver just to name a few of her interests.

Dr. Wood resides in North Dakota with her husband of nineteen years and her two children and British Lab, Barkley. She spends most of her free time traveling the country, writing, reading and spending quality time with friends and family.
