Today’s show will cover some tips on how to get the most out of your social media account to possibly get pet lovers to follow your pet. The show will also feature the pet parents of internet famous pets, such as Odie the no-eyed shih-tzu and the Tuxedo Trio. They will share some stories about their pets and how they got their pets popular on social media.

Lorien Clemens

Lorien Clemens serves as Director of Marketing at PetHub, Inc. Lorien joined PetHub, Inc., in June 2011 as the little start-up was just a wee pup. Since her joining PetHub, the lost pet recovery software service has become a respected industry leader. She has guided PetHub to its wins of multiple pet industry awards, including two Dog Fancy Magazine Editors' Choice Awards, the PetAGE Magazine Retailer Silver Select Award, and two Pet Business Magazine Product of the Year Awards for its unique digital ID tags and online services. Most recently, PetHub was named one of Business Insider Magazine's 50 Coolest New Businesses in America.

Individually, Lorien was named the Pet Industry Network’s 2014 Pet Industry Woman of the Year and was a keynote speaker at their national conference in 2015. In early 2016, Lorien was also honored by PetAGE Magazine as one the pet industry's Women of Influence.

Nestled in the woods outside of the tech-mecca of Seattle, Washington, Lorien lives with a Boston Terrier, a Border Collie Lab mix, two cats and her husband, a true nerd in his own right. An avid fan of science fiction and die hard technophile, she loves investigating new, exciting tech trends and all things geeky and pet related.

Dr. Jennifer Adolphe


Dr. Jennifer Adolphe graduated with her PhD in companion animal nutrition from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. She has a Master of Science degree in human nutrition and is a registered dietitian. Her PhD research examined the effect of carbohydrates on metabolic and cardiovascular health in lean and obese dogs. Dr. Adolphe is the recipient of over 20 awards and scholarships for her academic work and has numerous peer-reviewed publications. Her work in the pet food industry has focused on product development and ingredient procurement. She is currently the Senior Nutritionist at Petcurean Pet Nutrition, a Canadian, family-owned company committed to offering superior quality pet foods. View Guest page

Kat Albrecht is a former police detective, bloodhound handler, search-and-rescue manager, and founder of Missing Pet Partnership. Since 1997, Kat has worked to develop community-based lost pet services using innovative recovery techniques including forensics, behavior analysis, and search dogs trained to track lost pets. In 2005, Kat launched Missing Animal Response training, the first-ever online pet detective academy, where she trains lost pet recovery volunteers and professional pet detectives from around the world. Kat is the author of two books: Pet Tracker: The Amazing Story of Rachel the K-9 Pet Detective and Dog Detectives: Train Your Dog to Find Lost Pets.
