Episode Description

Innovation means different things to different people. When a CEO says “innovation”, it’s rare that employees truly understand what the CEO means. Innovation can mean … a thing, a value, a concept, a process or a strategy. Yet, some leaders use it to describe technology, R&D,or marketing. Sadly, innovation often gets thrown around like magic dust, a buzzword that’s lost its charm. In this show, John Storm, President of the BrainStorm Network, will share his insights & experiences after 25 years of innovation involvement. We’ll talk about a proven innovation process, along with a new model for designing a company’s innovation strategy. Getting clear about what metrics should be used to measure innovation’s impact is critical. We’ll talk about both hard & soft metrics you can use to focus on the key elements in designing a customized innovation strategy. Innovation ultimately means long-term survival, for if a company is not changing, improving, and growing, it will die.

The Compassionate Samurai Business Hour

The Compassionate Samurai Business Hour

Thursday at 1 PM Pacific Time on VoiceAmerica Business Channel

Success and integrity are not mutually exclusive, which is the foundation for The Compassionate Samurai Business Hour. Blending a warrior-like mindset with character traits of compassion in order to produce extraordinary results is key. Business often produces two types of leaders. The first are those who are nice, good-hearted, and compassionate, but can’t make much happen. The other type can make everything happen, they are creators, go-getters, and the aggressive producers in society. However, they’re often self-centered, greedy and unethical. Both the show host and guests share stories and tools for overcoming obstacles and provide wise short cuts for producing key sustainable results in business. You will discover unique roadmaps for producing a large amount of sustainable change in a short period of time. You will take lifelong learning to a whole new level where the important questions are asked and only you hold the answer to just how high you’re committed to climb.
