MaKayla Durfey
I was born in Beaver, Oklahoma but moved to many different places in my younger days. I've lived in Hugoton, Kansas; Butler, Missouri; Spearman, Texas; Knowles, Oklahoma; Sedalia, Missouri; and now reside in Stratford, Oklahoma where I'll be until I graduate. I began to write when I was eleven and actually started two different books before I decided to write, The Blue Roses of Texas. I'm an active person and some of my hobbies include, riding horses, reading, playing softball, writing, jogging, photography, and researching old objects. When I'm not writing on my books I'm doing any one of these or writing free-verse poems. My inspiration was my grandmother who loved reading and reading to me.
