Albert Forwood

Albert Forwood

Dr. Forwood’s path to helping kids with developmental disorders began with a head injury that left a young 17 year old with severe debilitating migraine headaches which took him off his feet for 3 to 10 days per month. He consulted many doctors, including the chief neurologist at the University of Pennsylvania, who, like the doctors before, told him that he could not help him. Dr. Forwood suffered for 7 more years before chiropractic removed the suffering. He spent the next 7 years studying year round to earn his doctorate in chiropractic. In 1990 he began his studies in neurology, one year after his colleague, Dr. Robert Melillo, the founder of Brain Balance Centers, began the same neurology program. His colleague Dr. Melillo went on to teach neurology and developed a training program for neurologists to treat ADHD and other learning disorders. Later Dr. Forwood became Dr. Melillo’s student. In 2009 Dr. Forwood joined the Brain Balance team with centers opening around the country.
