Maggie McGuire
Maggie McGuire is Vice President of Scholastic’s Kids and Parents online channels and is an expert in digital media, education, youth and parenting. Before joining the online division, she ran Scholastic Media Interactive where she developed award winning learning and entertainment products across interactive platforms. As Director of Nickelodeon’s Home Entertainment Group, she oversaw product development for their video, DVD and audio businesses. She has produced live action television shows and created content for and in partnership with companies inclusive of Sesame Workshop, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, LeapFrog and Fisher Price. Prior to her work in media, she spent eight years in education as a Language Arts teacher and curriculum developer and recruiter for Teach for America. She holds a MA in Educational Theater from NYU, a BA in English Literature and Philosophy from Boston College and with her husband is raising two wonderfully inventive boys in Brooklyn, NY.
