R. Wayne Hicks is the Executive Director of Black Data Processing Association (BDPA) Education and Technology Foundation, a nonprofit fundraising arm for a national IT association. An active leader in BDPA, Wayne has served in virtually every leadership position at both the local and national level. His dedication and efforts are reflected in the numerous awards he has received and the record growth of the organization under his leadership. The Foundation has increased the number and amount of scholarships, donations, and chapter grants in each of the past three years. His current focus, in partnership with the Foundation’s Board of Directors, is to implement a $5 million BETF Endowment Fund. Wayne holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in political science from the University of California Riverside. He is a past member of the Federal Government Senior Executive Service. Currently he owns his own consulting business focusing on leadership transformation projects and online marketing.
