Theodore Kavowras
Following his retirement from NYPD, Ted Kavowras studied Mandarin at China’s Nanjing & Kunming Universities. He then became Regional Manager of an international investigations firm. Often as an undercover operative, he credits his investigative success to using different disguises & identities. Ted works directly with Hong Kong Customs & Public Security Bureau to combat counterfeiting in China. Currently, he is Operations Manager for Panoramic Consulting Limited. Ted was recently featured in the National Geographic Documentary “Illicit, the Dark Trade” on PBS where he is shown working undercover in cooperation with Chinese Authorities in Hong Kong and China. He has been featured in CNN, CNBC and Reuter’s news reports on combating counterfeiting. Ted has made numerous presentations around the world to INTERPOL, US Patent & Trademark Offices, World Association of Detectives, & to private groups including the OSAC Community in Asia and groups accredited by the Law Society of Hong Kong.
