KIRK PENGILLY A few weeks ago I had a chat on this program with a long time friend of mine, 7 times world surfing champion Layne Beachley, which received a great response from our listeners. At the time I mentioned that Layne was married to Kirk Pengilly, quitarist, saxophonist and back up vocalist for the legendary Rock Band INXS. INXS have been into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, have sold in excess of 30 million records, have 3 Grammy nominations and Kirk has been with the band for 32 years. He is just back from a European tour. The legendary rock star has cooked for legendary chef Matt Moran, but how did he feel about going up in front of the MasterChef judges? The INXS lynchpin, may have stood on stage with the faces of 100,000 fans staring back at him, but it's Celebrity MasterChef that had the rockstar quivering in his boots. Kirk won the Master Chef challenge in 2009.
