Jan Tucker

Jan Tucker may have been destined to become a private investigator as he was born on August 25, the birthday of Detective Allen Pinkerton. Even then, he became a private investigator by a "fluke" when he was promoted from security officer to undercover investigator while working his way through graduate school. At the time he had Bachelors with a double major in Political Science and Chicano Studies and had completed 22 units towards his Masters when he was lured into investigation. He has never looked back. Jan has worked as an undercover operative as an industrial janitor, a hospital purchasing agent, as well as an operative in three industrial plants in the very neighborhood he grew up in and alongside co-workers he'd gone to school with in junior high school. Even more fantastic, while working undercover under his own name, he ran for U.S. House of Representatives and caused a well-publicized upset defeat of the ranking Californian Congressman, Jim Corman. Jan is a member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators and served seven consecutive terms as Chairman of the Board. Jan is also a member of a number of community based, grass-roots organizations.
