Rev. James “Bonecrusher” Smith
Rev. James “Bonecrusher” Smith is native to Magnolia, NC and now a resident of Myrtle Beach, SC since 2009. A graduate of Shaw University in Raleigh, NC class of 1975, he won the WBA Heavyweight Title in 1986 with a 1st round KO of Tim Witherspoon. He was the first college graduate to win a World Boxing Heavyweight Title. He helped establish the NC Boxing Commission and served as its first chairman in 1998. He was inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame of the Carolinas in 2007. James is releasing his first book called M.A.D Make a Decision. James is in the process of establishing a Boxing Legends Hall of Fame in Myrtle Beach.
