Phil Nauta
Phil Nauta grew up working for his parents in their garden center, maintaining nursery stock, landscaping, and grooming their 9 hole golf course. After earning his business degree, he was certified in Organic Landscape Management. He continued to do this through university while he obtained his business degree and commercial pilot’s license. Not content with flying, he went on to complete a certificate in Organic Landscape Management from Gaia College. He started Only Organic plus received his Permaculture Design and Sustainable Building and Design Certificates and became a Certified Organic Land Care Professional through SOUL. His Organic Gardener’s Pantry sells high quality organic fertilizers. Phil works with his wife, Heather, to help people improve the health of the planet. When he’s not in the garden, he’s promoting via the computer, or at the piano, pretending he’s Duke Ellington. His book is Building Soils Naturally. www.smilinggardener.com/book
