Jeffrey H. Altschul



Jeffrey H. Altschul is the Chairman of the Board of Statistical Research, Inc., a for-profit cultural resource management firm headquarted in Redlands, California. He has a B.A. in Anthropology from Reed College and a PhD in Anthropology from Brandeis University. Dr. Altschul is a nationally recognized expert in the development and use of archaeological predictive modeling and has been the Principal Investigator for more than 700 cultural resource investigations and programs, predominantly in the Southwest and southern California. He has directed numerous projects for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Air Force, Bureau of Land Management, Prima County (Arizona), Navajo Nation, Arizona Department of Transportation and numerous other agencies and private sector firms. Dr. Altschul is currently president of the Register of Professional Archaeologists and sits on the Arizona Governor’s Archaeological Advisory Council.
