Anita Johnston, Ph.D.
Anita Johnston, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist, certified eating disorder specialist, and storyteller who has been working the field of disordered eating for over 30 years. She is the author of Eating in the Light of the Moon: How Women Can Transform Their Relationships with Food Through Myth, Metaphor, and Storytelling, which has been published in six languages. She is the Clinical Director of ‘Ai Pono Eating Disorders Programs in Honolulu and the newly opened ‘Ai Pono Maui residential facility. She is also Clinical Advisor to the Moonpointe Eating Disorders Programs in Memphis and Knoxville, Tennessee, Focus Center for Eating Disorders in Chattanooga, Tennessee and is the Senior Clinical Consultant to the EATFED Intensive Outpatient Program in Sydney, Australia.
