Dr. Cynthia Golden

Dr. Cynthia Golden is an author, editor, speaker, and the Assistant Director, principal and a psychologist of a program serving students with severe emotional and behavioral needs. She has supervised the Autism and EBD programs in a metro Atlanta school system. During her 31 years in special education, she was twice elected Teacher of the Year and has worked as a psychologist in a system and center that served students with severe emotional and behavioral disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and autism. Dr. Golden has a degree in Special Ed; Masters and Specialist degrees in School Psych ; a certificate in Ed Leadership, and a Specialist degree and doctorate in Inclusive Ed. Cindy is the author of The Special Educator’s Toolkit and a contributor to Understanding Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Dr. Golden is the editor of the Special Needs Resource Magazine and the creator of Educator Essentials. She is a popular speaker at conferences and provides training to educators.
