When Christopher Utley was 17 years old, his first job was as a library attendant in the Family History Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City. He then moved to the Temple Index Bureau where he started to do genealogy and family history where he learned his craft. Chris graduated with a BA in design after attending Utah Valley State College and Brigham Young University (BYU). As a BYU student, he worked as a document researcher for BYU’s PBS series “Ancestors.” With the help of his wife, Chris founded Reuniting Families in 2010. He does most of his research at the Family History Center Library, where he got his first job. Since then, Chris’ work has expanded from helping families and individuals to working for German and Swiss heirs and estates. Involved with several series on PBS Television, his most recent venture was the PBS series entitled The Generations Project.
