Brown cornerback AJ Cruz is one of 41 players in Ivy League football history, and the 10th from Brown, to have been selected First Team All-Ivy three times, and the tenth Brown player to be named First Team All-Ivy three times. Known as an exceptional cover corner, Cruz intercepted 12 passes throughout his Brown career, fourth-best in Brown football history. He ranked second on the team in 2012 with 71 total tackles, and intercepted four passes, second-best in the Ivy League. Cruz also returned punts and kickoffs, and earned Second Team All-Ivy honors as a return specialist. Cruz is currently pursuing a career in the NFL. Having the opportunity to play at such an elite level is only one of his dreams. He also hopes to spread Christianity in the NFL in the same ways that Tim Tebow and Aaron Rodgers do. For Cruz, endorsing religion in the NFL is an extremely important goal of his.
