Stuart Gitlow, MD

Stuart Gitlow, MD, is President of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, Medical Director for Orexo US, and Executive Director of the Annenberg Physician Training Program in Addictive Disease at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY. Dr Gitlow is on the faculty of both Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He obtained his MD at Mount Sinai, and completed his psychiatric and public health training at University of Pittsburgh, PA, and a forensic psychiatry fellowship at Harvard University in Boston. Dr Gitlow serves as Cochair of the American Medical Association’s (AMA) Action Team on Alcohol and Health, and as an elected member of its Council on Science and Public Health. Dr Gitlow formerly produced both Health Channel and ABC programming at America Online.
