Jack Levis

Jack Levis is on the board of directors for the Institute of Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS) and holds advisory council positions for multiple universities. Jack Levis, Director of Process Management, is responsible for providing operational technology solutions. The projects that Jack’s group manages have used advanced analytics to reengineer current processes in an effort to streamline the business and maximize productivity. Under Jack’s direction, UPS has completed integration of multiple operations systems, requiring extensive system engineering, usability and analytics provisions. These systems ultimately synchronize the flow of data throughout UPS, allowing the seamless movement of goods, funds and information. Jack has been the business owner, process designer, and program manager for UPS’ award winning Package Flow Technology suite of systems. That suite of tools and process redesign has been a breakthrough change for UPS, resulting in a reduction of 85 million miles per year. His team has designed UPS’ next generation of dispatching technologies which use advanced optimizations. The world class optimizations and systems called ORION are beginning deployment and will provide significant additional benefits to UPS. Having earned his Bachelor of Arts in psychology, from California State University Northridge, Jack also holds a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.
