Philip Becnel
A licensed private investigator, Philip Becnel is the Managing Partner of Dinolt Becnel & Wells Investigative Group LLC & the author of both Principles of Investigative Documentation & Introduction to Conducting Private Investigations. Philip has published articles in investigative, legal and popular publications, including Law360, Westlaw Journal Employment, The Corporate Counselor & Time Magazine. He is a past President of the Private Investigators Association of Virginia, has taught undergraduate courses in criminal procedure, & has lectured on a wide variety of investigative topics to the legal community. He is interviewed often as an investigative expert for media stories by entities such as The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, CNN and U.S. News & World Report. Philip earned a B.A. in Anthropology from George Mason University and a Master’s in Criminal Justice from Boston University. He is licensed in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia & Washington, D.C.
