Baird Hersey
Baird Hersey’s diverse career as a musician and composer has spanned more than 50 years. As a multi-genre artist, he is best known for his innovative jazz ensemble, The Year of the Ear, his dynamic rock bands, Artificial Intelligence and FX and his timeless vocal ensemble Prana. Since 2000, Hersey’s composing for Prana as been a unique blend of traditional western vocal music and the music of India, Tibet, Tuva, Mongolia, Blugeria and Georgia, with a strong emphasis on vocal harmonics. As a result of refining the vocal sound to its purest form, Hersey has written The Practice of Nada Yoga, a book about sound meditation.
