Howdy y’all! I am not originally from the south, but after fourteen years here in Texas, I definitely call it home. I am in the firefighter wives’ club and that crazy minivan driving, baseball, swim team, basketball, soccer mom in the stands with all the bling! I am an educator by trade and an avid learner by choice. I’ve finished a few half marathons so I’d like to think I can call myself a runner, but I do it more for mental wellness and girl time than anything. I love spending time with my family and friends and am always up for a good laugh. Professionally I have worn many hats and am most proud of being among the top 2% of female business owners to actually sell their company. It was bitter sweet, but it sure was an amazing ride! I received my Bachelor’s in Spanish and Social Studies from a fun little place in NorCal called Chico State. After moving to Texas, I earned my Masters in Elementary Education specializing in Reading and Language Arts at Texas State University and am currently working on my dissertation for a doctorate degree in Reading and Literacy from Capella University. In 2011 I finished my training as a life coach through the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). Through the training I discovered the power of coaching as a recipient and am loving being able to give back now as a Be Well Coach. I coach because it fills my "career heart" and my bucket (A great book - How Full Is Your Bucket for Kids by Tom Rath). I champion my clients and hold them accountable for their own dreams and desires. Stripping away the fear that holds each of us back, and breaking down barriers gives me a natural high! Being well isn’t just about eating right and exercising, it’s about balancing this act we call life.
