On January 16, 2013, The Chicago Bears named Marc Trestman as the fourteenth head coach in franchise history. During his inaugural season with the Bears, Marc tallied an impressive set of statistics; including an 8-8 record, the most wins for a coach in his first year in the Superbowl Era. Additionally, the Bears offense gained a franchise best 6,109 net yards. Marc came to the Bears after leading the Montreal Alouettes to back to back championships in 2009 and 2010, and being named the Canadian Football League’s Coach of the Year in 2009. His offensive prowess is well known throughout football. Marc’s long list of accomplishments on the football field is the reason why he was sought after by some of the most successful franchises in football. However, Marc’s genuine respect, caring nature and compassion for human kind are the attributes that allowed him to generate the opportunities to perfect his craft as a leader, mentor and coach.
