Barbara Wichmann is the award-winning CEO and women-business owner of ARTEMIA Communications Inc., a certified San Francisco Green Business that she founded almost two decades ago. A leading communications expert on sustainability and diversity, Barbara has helped clients from Fortune 100/500 to early-stage startups drive audiences to action through innovative and intelligent outreach, marketing and promotion. She took the unprecedented step for an agency in her field to seek and secure triple ISO certification, including the environmentally-focused ISO 14001, giving ARTEMIA an internationally recognized benchmark in sustainability in the workplace. An active member of the ASTRA Women’s Business Alliance and QuEST Forum’s small business leadership group, she also authors a column in MBE magazine and posts on her sustainability-focused blog, B’s Notions. In 2014, she was named a Business Leader “Star” by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, one of just 14 across the US.
