Kimberly Knickle, practice director for IDC Manufacturing Insights, is responsible for research and analysis of business and IT issues related to manufacturers. She manages the IT Priorities & Strategies service, which focuses on hot topics that are changing the way manufacturers buy and use IT, such as big data and analytics, cloud, mobility, social business, and environmental sustainability. Kim also manages the Product Lifecycle Strategies research, including PLM, Smart Services & Aftermarket Strategies, and the Connected Vehicle, and contributes to the group's Supply Chain service. She regularly contributes to the IDC Insights Community blog on the IDC Manufacturing Insights Community and tweets (@kimknickle) about business and IT. Kim has more than 20 years of experience in market research and the IT industry. She is a graduate of Boston University's School of Management, where she earned her MBA degree.
