Tom works for water utilities as Deputy Executive Director of the American Water Works Association. The Association, AWWA as it is known, is the world’s oldest and largest professional society dedicated to clean water. Tom has more than thirty years of experience in Washington DC, including jobs as the Director of Natural Resources Programs at the National Governors' Association and tenure as the Deputy Executive Director of the Environmental Council of the States. He has been centrally involved in the legislative fights over numerous environmental bills, including the most recent amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act. Over the years Tom has served on numerous committees and task forces for EPA and groups like the Keystone and Aspen Institutes.
