Fermin Bueno
Fermin Bueno is Partner at Next Bank, the leading global community driving collaboration and innovation in financial services through technology, design and entrepreneurship. He is also co-founding Partner of finnovista, a financial and strategic services firm empowering fintech startups, financial institutions and other players in the disruptive transformation of the financial industry. At finnovista, Fermin has pioneered fintech events and startup competition in Europe and the Americas under the Next Bank, Innotribe and BBVA Open Talent brands. Prior to starting finnovista, Fermin was a founding employee and investment manager at Jeremie Fund, where he launched a 185 M Euro venture capital fund financed by the European Investment Fund (EIF) and other Spanish publish institutions. At Jeremie Fund, Fermin led investments at fintech, artificial intelligence, cloud and mobile technology startups. Before that, he worked at a strategy-consulting firm advising leading European mobile operators on how to capitalize new technologies through the creation of new business opportunities. Fermin started his career at Ericsson, where he developed electronic communications technologies that brought mobile internet to the masses years later, and that transformed industries such as music, media, retail and the telco industry itself. Fermin holds a M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de Sevilla, Spain and Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, and MBA from IE Business School.
