Kurt Benkley

Kurt Benkley is a career prosecutor who works as an Assistant District Attorney in the White Collar Crime Unit of the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. He is also cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in 1983 and his JD from Northeastern University School of Law in 1987, Mr. Benkley served five years as a military prosecutor in the United States Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He joined the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in 1993. For the past fifteen years, Mr. Benkley has been assigned to the White Collar Crime Unit of the District Attorney’s Office where he specializes in public integrity and financial crime prosecutions, including embezzlement, mortgage fraud, arson for profit, bribery, and tax fraud.
