Started in Austin, Texas in 2008, BlueAvocado was founded by Melissa Nathan, Paige Davis and Amy George, who were driven by their desire to address the growing clutter and environmental problems caused by the use of disposable, non-recyclable, plastic bags. What started as a solution for themselves turned into a solution others quickly saw a need for and embraced. After over 5 years in the market and adoption among key retailers, BlueAvocado has continued to provide thoughtful solutions to living a greener, simpler life, and has expanded its product portfolio to include food-on-the-go, shopping, travel, entertaining, and lunch accessories.
