Hilary Krieger

Deputy White House Editor for POLITICO.

She joined POLITICO from The Washington Post, where she was an editor in the Opinions section. Before that she spent a decade at The Jerusalem Post, reporting on diplomacy, immigration and social issues in Jerusalem and then on the White House, State Department, Pentagon and Congress as the newspaper’s Washington bureau chief. In addition, she covered the 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns and the 2010 Winter Olympics. While in Israel, she also produced radio pieces for Marketplace.

Krieger majored in American Studies at Cornell University, where she was editor-in-chief of The Cornell Daily Sun. After college she reported on city hall and state house politics for The Boston Herald and helped cover the 2000 New Hampshire presidential primaries for The Concord Monitor. During a stint in London, she worked as a reporter and co-wrote a book on eclipses. She got her start in journalism as editor-in-chief of The Boston Latin School Argo.
