Thomas Otter
Thomas Otter is the Vice President of Product Management for Employee Central at SuccessFactors, an SAP Company. In May 2014, he joined SuccessFactors from Gartner, where he was a Research Vice President covering human capital management (HCM) technology. He was also Gartner's lead analyst on SAP from 2009-11. He has a strong background in HCM trends and technologies, including core HR, payroll, talent management and workforce analytics. Thomas also has experience in European HCM compliance issues, such as data protection law. Prior to joining Gartner, Thomas worked at SAP in a variety of roles, including business development, sales, and key account strategy. He has extensive experience in global HR technology deployments, especially with larger multinational organizations. Thomas grew up in South Africa, has worked in the US and the UK, and now lives in Heidelberg, Germany. He holds an LLM in Computer Law, a PDM in HR Management and a BA (hons) in Political Science.
