Molly Hermann

Molly Hermann is a producer/director/writer with a deep interest in the human experience and documentary storytelling. Over the past 15 years, Molly has produced award-winning work for PBS, National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel, Smithsonian Network, Animal Planet, TLC, Discovery Health, Discovery Science, The History Channel, and BBC America. Specializing in science and culture, Molly’s storytelling style emphasizes the people behind the accomplishments. Her work has taken her quite literally into all walks of life. From the floor of the New York Stock Exchange to a Casablanca mosque, from red rock Utah canyons to the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, and searching for birds of paradise in the jungles of Papua New Guinea.

Molly is a founding partner of the Falls Church, Virginia-based company, The Biscuit Factory, which has been producing factual programming for the past 8 years. Recent broadcast credits include the highly rated Smithsonian Networks program “9/11: Stories in Fragments” and the Emmy nominated "Jefferson's Secret Bible," in collaboration with the National Museum of American History and “Lincoln’s Secret Killer?” on National Geographic Channel, for which she restaged Lincoln’s assassination. Recent non-broadcast credits include a seven-part environmental series for kids in the developing world and a series of short films highlighting Discovery Channel’s video in the classroom initiative for the Coca-Cola Africa Foundation.
