Codarica creates seriously fun coding games for kids, starting with its first app CodeQuest available now on the AppStore for iPads and iPhones. Sanna Nilsson founded Codarica at age 24 after meeting her co-founders during their program at Hyper Island, where they also learned to code. They quickly realized the importance of that skill set, and wished they knew it earlier. That’s how the idea behind Codarica was born; a notion that programming should be taught out as early as possible. Today there are great programming initiatives for kids, but Codarica set out to change the way we look at technology by demolishing existing stereotypes surrounding the tech industry as well as by setting out to create a fun space for both girls and boys. Codarica just graduated from the first Disney Techstars accelerator and is now based out of Stockholm, Sweden where Sanna and her team are originally from.
