Dr. Linda Petrucelli



Dr. Linda Petrucelli is a highly respected clergy leader. She has served local churches in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa, where she was born. For nine years, Linda worked in Taiwan as a missionary dealing with conflicts surrounding exploited fish workers in the fishing industry. Following her service in Taiwan, Linda coordinated disaster relief and development programs at denominational headquarters in New York.

In 2000, Linda moved to the Big Island to serve United Community Church in Hilo. Following the Kiholo Bay earthquake in 2006, she worked with FEMA and the American Red Cross, counseling elderly and low-income families how to repair their homes and lives. She currently serves as pastor of Hilo Coast United Church of Christ in Honomu, a growing congregation serving the Hamakua Coast.

Linda holds advanced theological degrees from Yale Divinity School and Chicago Theological Seminary. She is married to Gary Hoff, an editorial cartoonist and visual arts teacher at Kamehameha High School, Kea’au campus.
