Edward R. Cox



Edward R. Cox is a multiple award-winning actor, director, and designer with over 50 years experience in theatre, Carnival, and in New Orleans schools. His first design jobs were with his mother, sewing and putting together costumes for Carnival krewes. On Broadway, he appeared in the Dean Jones musical “City of Light” and performed in the first national tours of “Cats” and “Barnum” with Stacy Keach. He can be heard on the original cast recording of “One Star Designer.” As a Carnival designer, Eddie worked with Blaine Kern Designs, is the house designer for several NOLA Krewes, and is known as “The Last Minute Costume Guy.” He is the co-author of Treehouse Players’ Rapunzel (selected by President Clinton’s Americorps Program for their first theatrical tour in 1995).
