Dr Satya Narayana Dasa
Dr Satya Narayana Dasa is the director of the JIVA institute of Vedic Studies in Vrindavan, India. As a child he was drawn to the spiritual traditions of his homeland and after receiving a postgraduate degree at IIT Delhi and working in the US as a software engineer for four years, he returned to India to dedicate himself to Bhakti Yoga. He studied the formal systems of Indian philosophy under his gurus Shri Haridasa, Shastri Maharaja and Swami Shyama Sharana Maharaja for over twenty five years. He has earned four Shastric degrees, a law degree and a PhD in Sanskrit from Agra University in India. Dr Satya Narayana was honored by the President of India in 2013 for his extraordinary contribution to Vedic culture and philosophy worldwide. He has translated ancient Vedic Philosophy texts and published with commentary which articulate the metaphysics and theology of Vaisnavism. He teaches Vedic Philosophy in India, Europe and USA and is visiting professor at Rutgers University NJ, USA.
