Sara Presler

Sara Presler, JD, is a trailblazer for women in Arizona as CEO of Arizona Foundation for Women. Sara served as the first female mayor of Flagstaff for and the first female CEO of the Maricopa County Medical Society. Before her appointment to AFW, Presler served as CEO of the Maricopa County Medical Society and its business services, two terms as Flagstaff's mayor, general counsel for Southwest Windpower and as an attorney in private law practice focusing on ethics and business law. She also taught business at Northern Arizona University and Constitutional Law at Coconino Community College. Presler holds a degree in history from Northern Arizona University and a J.D. from Michigan State University. She is a Flinn-Brown Fellow and alumni of the Flinn Foundation’s Civic Leadership Academy’s inaugural class. Presler is an active member of the State Bar of Arizona and volunteers for the Asian Pacific Community in Action and one-n-ten, an organization dedicated to serving LGBTQ youth. Presler currently serves as the Vice Chair of the American Association of University Women, Phoenix Chapter.
