Mr. LaFontaine helps to lead IFAW’s state and federal efforts to safeguard elephants, rhinoceros and other species threatened by illegal wildlife trafficking, and is also engaged in developing the organization’s approach to climate change advocacy. Prior to joining IFAW, Mr. LaFontaine was the Energy Policy Advocate for the National Wildlife Federation and a staff naturalist at the Cottonwood Gulch Foundation. He is a recent graduate of the Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders program. Mr. LaFontaine holds a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.
