Dr. Partap Chauhan
Dr. Partap Chauhan is founder of JIVA Ayurveda based in Faridabad, near Delhi, India. JIVA has a school where young students can learn Vedic principles and as well as courses in Ayurveda, Dr. Chauhan offers on-line, telephone and personal consultations. When he started the world’s first on-line Ayurvedic tele-medicine in 1995, he was a pioneer. JIVA now employs more than one hundred and fifty Ayurvedic physicians in their call center which serves over five thousand patients a day. This not only brings health solutions to local communities, but puts the people in charge of their health. Dr. Chauhan runs television health shows on five major channels and his programs are viewed by millions of people in India and overseas. Dr. Chauhan travels all over the world bringing the message of Ayurveda to ordinary people. He has won National and International Awards for his services to Ayurveda and the “United Nations’s World Summit Award” in 2003 for his Teledoc project on rural medicine.
