Wade Cottingham
Wade Cottingham is the Owner and Teacher at Lakewood Piano Lab, a piano and music studio for private piano lessons, music recording and production, music workshops, and summer day camps. He teaches about 50 private piano lessons every week, all styles of music with students ages 4 to 95. Born in the 1950’s in Dallas, Wade studied Music and English at Austin College. His training includes lessons with Jac Murphy (pianist on Wildfire), courses at Royal Conservatory in London, jazz studies at the University of North Texas, and lessons with Tamir Hendelman (pianist for Barbra Streisand). Wade enjoys a secondary career as pianist for church services, band pianist for singers at restaurants and parties, and solo pianist for parties and events. Wade recently taught an innovative movement course to preschoolers and had a former career as computer programmer for accounting software.
