Dena Gray-Hughes

Dena Gray has invested over twenty years in personal and professional activism in the field of HIV/STD, and sexual health education. In this period, she has succeeded in connecting the community with viable resources through collaborative partnerships and client level investment. In 2011, she was named a Champion of Change and called to the White House to be a part of a roundtable on HIV/AIDS. Following her return from Washington, where she participated in the president’s Champions of Change program, Mayor Annise Parker presented Dena Gray with a framed commendation awarded her by the Houston City Council.
