Kennedy Brown
Kennedy Brown, born in Chesterton, Indiana, first began her dance training under the instruction of Tara Drew. Beginning her career as a competition dancer, Kennedy has won many regional and national titles including regional titles for Chicago at Nuvo and New York City Dance Alliance, and two national titles at Hall of Fame Dance Challenge and VIP. For the past 3 years, Kennedy has focused her training in ballet. She has attended summer programs at Ballet Magnificat in Jackson, Mississippi and Carreno Dance Festival in Sarasota, Florida. In 2013 Kennedy was awarded the bronze medal at the Youth American Grand Prix, and this past year was chosen as one of twelve dancers from the United States to compete in the International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi. In 2014, Kennedy moved to Phoenix, Arizona to train under Slawomir Wozniak at Master Ballet Academy. Currently a member of Slawomir Wozniak’s new pre-professional company, Phoneix Ballet, Kennedy recently returned from Beijing, China where the company premiered Francisco Gella’s, “Solstice”. This May, Kennedy and the company will be traveling to Poland for a world-wide premiere of Albert Blaise Cattafi’s “String of Thoughts”.
