Carl E. David

Born into a family that has now been dealing in works of art for four generations, Carl David has been an art dealer, a lecturer, and a consultant for museums, universities, the FBI, the White House, and many others. In addition, he and his family are suicide survivors; Carl’s older brother killed himself when Carl was only sixteen years old. In his book “Bader Field: How My Family Survived Suicide,” Mr. David has written a very personal story about how his family endured struggle and torment after the suicide and came back to life. Earlier, Mr. David wrote the book “Collecting and Care of Fine Art.” He is also a photographer, a journalist, a musician, a philanthropist, and, through deep caring for others, a healer.
