Robert Baittie
Robert Baittie was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2012 at the age of fifty-two. What started as a personal setback has turned into a much stronger push forward -- to fight against the disease and make every day count. Robert is an active participant in the PPMI clinical trial with the Michael J. Fox Foundation. His book “Tremors in the Universe” (tremorsintheuniverse.com) was recently published as an inspiring personal memoir documenting his journey with Parkinson’s and spirituality. Robert and his daughter Amanda created team Martini Shakers to participate in Moving Day Chicago, a National Parkinson Foundation fundraising and awareness program. The team’s incredible efforts in just two years have raised well over $37,000. Robert also continues to run his own award-winning design firm, Bob Baittie Design, Inc.
