Kathleen Baker


Kathleen Baker is the youngest member of Team Elite. She is a high school senior from Winston Salem, NC, who has committed to swim at the University of California, Berkeley next year. She's already competed on the international stage several times and is on the World Championship team competing in Kazan, Russia, this summer. Baker, at 18 years of age, has accomplished the following: silver medalist in the 200m free relay and was sixth in the 100m back at 2014 FINA Short Course Worlds in Doha, Qatar...qualified for 2014 Pan Pacs with a runner-up finish in the 200m back at Phillips 66 Nationals...finished fourth in the 200y IM at 2013 AT&T Winter Nationals...won four medals at the 2013 FINA World Junior Championships---silver in the 100m and 200m back, and bronze in both the 400m medley relay and the mixed 400m medley relay...won bronze in the 400m IM at 2013 Speedo Junior Nationals and bronze in the 200m IM at the 2013 U.S. Open. Swimmers start young, but Baker is a special talent.
