Additionally, UTPA Athletics built a new soccer and track & field complex, secured the donation of the baseball stadium from the City of Edinburg, and completed close to 2 million dollars in renovations, including a new weight room and renovations to the basketball and tennis facilities. The departmental cumulative grade point average is 3.07. This past spring, 129 of 220 student-athletes earned a 3.0 GPA or higher, including 18 4.0s. The graduation success rate has increased from 54-75 percent from 2010-15.
