Cezar McKnight
McKnight, a Williamsburg County attorney, was sworn in as the district’s representative during a Nov. 18 ceremony at the Williamsburg County Courthouse in Kingstree. McKnight is the newly elected Democratic candidate to serve as S.C. House representative for the state’s 101st District after garnering 64 percent of the votes over Republican opponent Al Smith. McKnight ran on the platform of economic development to help recruit jobs the port of Georgetown, as well as the focus on improving education. McKnight's youthful charisma brings a fresh perspective to the state of South Carolina, that's part of a movement to shift the national viewpoint .
