Ms. Cookie Johnson is a devoted philanthropist, child advocate and spokesperson for women’s health. She serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Magic Johnson Foundation. She addresses the health, social and educational needs of those residing in underserved communities and is involved in the development of the Foundation’s overall goals, objectives and programs. Cookie joins her husband Earvin “Magic” Johnson in the fight against HIV/AIDS by speaking to women’s groups, at community events, local schools, etc. to help reduce new HIV infections in underserved communities by educating minority women about the disease and providing helpful tools for prevention and testing. Cookie served as a 2013 Ambassador for Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. She used her platform to encourage people across the country to take action in the fight against HIV/AIDS and raise awareness of its impact on women and girls.
